Giuseppe Concone

50 Lessons, Op. 9

Giuseppe Concone’s 50 Lessons, Op. 9, are the first book of singing studies most instrumentalists meet: short, melodic, and graded from the simplest to the florid. Written for the voice in Paris in the 1830s.

Cut for bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, cello: each edition moves every study into that instrument’s range and clef.

Engraved like a printed part

Each study is transposed and re-clefed into the instrument's range and engraved at a 7.5 mm staff with a printer's margins, one study to a page or a spread, never a turn inside a study.
