A printed étude is fixed in one key, one clef, one octave. Practice Farm puts any étude into any key and any range, so it is playable on any instrument. That lets you vary your practice and become fluent in every key.
Your instrument is drawn above the page and moves with every note as the music plays: the trombone slide, the valves of a trumpet, tuba or horn, the keys of a clarinet, flute or bassoon, the fingerboard of a violin or cello, the bars of a marimba. You see what your hands should do before they do it.
Tap a note and pick the slide position, valve combination or fingering you prefer. The page prints your choice above the note, and the panel plays it.
Transpose anything in the library into any key in a moment, or let the app pick keys at random: the fastest way to become a player who is at home in all twelve.
Tell Practice Farm which clefs you read (bass, tenor, alto or treble) and every page is engraved in the one that fits best, with the fingerings, slide positions or valve combinations for your instrument.

Practice Farm gives you a drum play-along track for every exercise. It can play a groove so you hear the right subdivisions, or click the exact rhythm on the page. There are eight styles, including swing, bossa and funk, so you learn to play with a groove behind you.
The built-in drone changes pitch as the tonality changes, so you never stop to reset it. That leaves you free to work on your intonation.
Mark a passage, a few hard bars in the middle of a study, and loop it. Open it as a clip of its own and practice just those bars at a tempo you choose.
Tap a tempo or expression word on the page, such as Triolen nicht schleppend or Più mosso, and see what it means in your own language. There are eleven to choose from.

No. The web version at app.practice.farm is the original, it is free, and it has most of the library. The app adds the ability to import your own scores, a bigger library, the Bach chorales, and the polish only a native app can have, and it works entirely offline.
Yes. The same app runs on iPhone and iPad, and one purchase covers both. The phone carries the whole library, laid out for the smaller screen: the page is engraved to fit it, and a Bach chorale is read one voice at a time with the other three played underneath. It needs iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.
