About the 40 Studies
Cyrille Rose’s 40 Studies for clarinet, from his Paris Conservatoire class of the 1890s, after Ferling: lyrical and technical studies in every key, the book every clarinetist works through.

Engraved like a printed part
Each study is transposed and re-clefed into the instrument's range and engraved at a 7.5 mm staff with a printer's margins. A short study shares a page rather than leave half of one empty, and a long one opens on a spread: never a turn inside a study.
