About the Six Grand Etudes
Victor Cornette’s Six Grand Etudes for trombone, from his Paris Conservatoire method of the 1840s: six extended studies, each a concert piece in its own right.
Engraved like a printed part
Each study is transposed and re-clefed into the instrument's range and engraved at a 7.5 mm staff with a printer's margins. A short study shares a page rather than leave half of one empty, and a long one opens on a spread: never a turn inside a study.
